Yes, we highly recommend making an appointment to ensure availability. This can be made by clicking the BOOK ONLINE button on our Homepage

-Exfoliate with our recommended exfoliating masque 1 day prior in the area. This allows for easier hair removal!

-Avoid using topical prescriptions, active acids or Retinols on the area being treated      5 days prior or after service

-Laser hair removal should only be done at least 2 weeks prior or as recommended

-Clients using Accutane or the like should avoid any waxing services for 6-12 months (consult first with your dermatologist)

-Please disclose any use of new medication or antibiotics prior to your service

Sugaring is a method of removing unwanted hair from the body using a paste made of sugar, lemon juice, and water. It is an ancient technique that has been used for centuries in various cultures. Sugaring is considered a natural and gentle alternative to waxing, as the paste is typically made with simple, all-natural ingredients.

Here's how sugaring hair removal works:

1. Preparation: The hair should be at least 1/4 inch long for effective removal. The area to be treated is cleansed and may be lightly powdered to ensure the skin is dry and free from oils or lotions.
2. Sugar Paste: The sugar paste used for sugaring is typically made of sugar, lemon juice, and water. The mixture is heated to a lukewarm temperature and applied to the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth.
3. Application: We apply a thin layer of the sugar paste to the skin using a spatula or their hands. The paste is then smoothed onto the skin and molded against the direction of hair growth.
4. Removal: To remove the hair, the practitioner quickly flicks or pulls the sugar paste off in the direction of hair growth. This technique minimizes discomfort and reduces the likelihood of hair breakage or ingrown hairs.
5. Repeat: The process is repeated in small sections until all the desired hair is removed. Any remaining residue can be easily cleaned off the skin with water.
6. Aftercare: After sugaring, the treated area may be slightly red and sensitive. The practitioner may apply a soothing lotion or gel to help calm the skin. It is advisable to avoid hot baths, saunas, sun exposure, or harsh chemicals on the treated area for at least 24 hours.
